As Computer Coding Classes Swell, So Does Cheating
We put code on A1 of The New York Times.
For a story about a spate of plagiarism cases in computer science courses at elite universities, I reported on the technical aspects of the cheating. I wrote clear and concise explanations of how computer code differs from programmer to programmer – and how professors can spot copied code. I conducted interviews, wrote and worked with editors to get short, but representative, snippets of code into the paper.
